My thoughts on the future

Now that we know all good things do come to an end.  Thinking about what the years will bring for all of us and I hope that life gives you the best it can.  We have to make our own luck in this one life that we have and so we must take every opportunity that comes along.

I need to say this and I mean it from the bottom of my heart and those who know me will attest to my sincerity.

I love the Rubettes in all their guises and they have given me the best times from my early teens until the present day.  They have been in my heart and although I took that decade out, they were never far from my thoughts.

My Tribute

I suppose you could say, that taking all the time out to do this website is probably the biggest tribute that I could possibly give them. I can tell you that putting this site together has been hard work, with many nights working into the early hours. I want everyone to know that it has been an amazing amount of fun too. Every picture, every design and every word has been created with huge amounts of love and appreciation for the Rubettes, past and present.

From the first moment they appeared on 'Top of the Pops' and Alan Williams turned around to face the camera, I was completely hooked!! Now, after all these years, I still feel the same. We all know that as we grow up our whole outlook to life changes, so it's some achievement that this band should still be there in a lot of hearts today.

This tribute, is not only for Alan, Mick, Bill, Alex, John, Tony, Peter and Mark but for those loyal fans. It is you who have made it all worthwhile.

NEVER TOO YOUNG TO ROCK

Starring:  The Rubettes, Mud, The Glitter Band, Whoopee Band, Scott Fitzgerald

Peter Denyer and Freddie Jones.

TONIGHT

The guys would never be able to ride on the back of a lorry in this day and age due to Health and Safety.  I was really worried about Mick in this clip, he had two choices - fall on Bill or be catapulted over the side of the lorry.  Thank goodness he managed to stay on his feet....well at least until the end where he then fell flat on his.......

SUGAR BABY LOVE

JUKE BOX JIVE

AFTER THE GOLDRUSH

Nostalgia at its very best.  This song is poignant and makes you think what it all could really mean.  Prelude also sung this song and it is an amazing rendition.  Mick sings it in a haunting way that really gets your attention.

I will be posting translations of some of the text on the pictures where the interviews are in German so that our English fans can enjoy them.  Be  patient.

  TRIBUTE TO JOHN RICHARDSON

Govinda - Kula Shaker

I love this song and when I went to the Hari Krishna temple and spent a day with John and his daughter some years ago, I heard some wonderful music and was welcomed warmly by the lovely people there.  I also wanted to share this with you..

This section is for the Edinburgh gig I went to in October.  I had a great time in this lovely city and am planning to go back again in the future for a longer break.  This was a meet and greet experience and very nice it was too!!
